Fujifilm EF-42 Shoe Mount Flash : Underwater Digital Cameras 56 of 56 people found the following review helpfulDedicated TTL flash for Fuji HS-20 and X-100 By DarthRad on October 8, 2011 Verified Purchase This is the same flash as the Sunpak PZ42x, except it has the proprietary Fuji TTL hotshoe connection instead of the Canon or Nikon hotshoe. The price difference from the Sunpak PZ42x has been steadily narrowing, and currently the Fuji EF-42 is only about $30 more than listed prices for the Sunpak.I got this flash for my HS-20.The flash has auto and manual features, and auto-zooms with the camera in the range of 24mm-105mm (35mm format). As long as you stay in this range, the flash has great coverage. For instance I can take pictures of my neighborhood at nighttime and get perfectly illuminated shots of houses over 200 feet away (at ISO 3200).The TTL sensing can get confused from nearfield reflected light (especially in wide angle shots) and if there are any strongly reflective objects in the field, such as windows or street signs. That’s probably more due to the camera auto exposure settings – if you use a manual camera mode and set it on Spot auto exposure instead of Multi or Whole field sensing, it seems to do better. One other thing I noticed, the flash works in Macro mode, but will not fire when the camera is in Super Macro mode. You can take nice close up Macro shots of small objects with the head swiveled around as a bounce flash. If you want to get a better idea of how this flash works, there are Youtube videos posted for the Sunpak PZ42x you can check out. They are the exact same flash. All in all, it’s great to finally have a TTL dedicated flash for the HS-20. 5 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Motorola Blink1 Wi-Fi Video Camera for Remote Viewing with 183 of 195 people found the following review helpfulSolid camera, limited by software and connectivity issues By Wayne TOP 1000 REVIEWER on April 24, 2013Color: Black Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What’s this? ) SETUPOut of the box you’ve pretty much just got the camera, power adapter, and some documentation. The first thing I noticed missing was a quick-start guide. Something basic and to the point that takes you through getting things up and going quickly. There is a user-guide that explains how to set it up, which is good enough, if not a bit wordy.Basically, you have to reset the device to put into “setup mode” and install the free Monitor Everywhere (Baby Cam) application on your Android or IOS device. Then you simply go through a few basic steps via the app to create an account, connect to your WiFi, and pair up the camera with your account. It is important to note that you can only do this via the mobile app. There is no way to do this via the website or included software, as none was included, nor is it available for download.CAMERAThe camera itself is compact and quite basic. It’s a Pan-Tilt camera, meaning it can move around left, right, up, and down. You can do this manually to positioning it or via the software, which I’ll go into more detail next. The camera also has a couple IR LED’s for night vision and an antenna at the back. There is a power switch, reset button, and power connection. That’s about it.It has a key-hole mount on the bottom for mounting on a wall, which is definitively recommended. I’ll be including some pictures, but because of it’s relatively narrow lens, you’ll want to keep it rather far away. We have ours mounted about 4-5 ft above the crib to capture everything.MOBILE SOFTWAREThe free Baby Cam software for Android installed perfectly on my Galaxy Note II phone and my wife’s Epic 4G Touch.Read more › 31 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Night Owl Pro Nexgen Night Vision Binocular (5x): Camera &a 127 of 134 people found the following review helpfulworth the money By Christopher S. Kelly on May 25, 2010 Verified Purchase I was blown away at the hundreds of yards of view with these night vision binoculars! Unmatched, as I also own night vision monocular or single sight IR which can barely see 10 feet! I live next to a very large cranberry bog and watched a cayote, at 300 yards in complete darkness, walk along the far bank. Amazing Comment Was this review helpful to you? I was more than pleasantly surprised by what I got. First, it took no time at all to get them(2 days!). Second, these things do exactly what they’re supposed to do, let you see in the dark. We watched deer for hours in total darkness. It was a 3/4 moon and they gathered so much light, they did not have to be switched on! The infrared is also great! I watched mice running around a brush pile in pitch black. Well worth the money! I compared prices and this is in line with other sellers(better than most). Comment Was this review helpful to you?
